Agape Ranch Celebrates 11 Years of Healing Through Equine Therapy
Agape Ranch Marks 11 Years of Healing Through Equine Therapy |
Celebrating Over a Decade of Transforming Lives with Horse-Based Programs |
Agape Ranch recently celebrated its 11th anniversary, highlighting more than a decade of dedicated service to at-risk youth and families through equine-assisted therapy and life-skills programs.
Since its inception, the nonprofit sanctuary has provided a safe haven for hundreds of children and teens, many from foster care or disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them opportunities to build confidence, emotional resilience, and social connections.
The anniversary event brought together participants, volunteers, staff, and community supporters for a day filled with ranch tours, therapeutic riding demonstrations, and personal storytelling. Several young alumni returned to share how lessons learned at Agape—such as responsibility through grooming chores, trust built on horseback, and teamwork during trail rides—helped them overcome personal challenges and succeed in school and employment.
Agape’s executive director expressed gratitude to local businesses and individual donors whose ongoing financial and in-kind contributions keep the ranch’s stables stocked and programs free of charge. She also recognized the dedicated volunteers—ranging from certified equine specialists to board mentors—who donate their time each week to lead sessions and care for the horses.
Looking ahead, Agape Ranch plans to expand its outreach to more school districts and introduce evening workshops focused on goal-setting and conflict resolution. With eleven years behind them, the ranch remains committed to using the unique bond between horse and human to ignite healing, hope, and lasting life change. |
